Dr. Matt Farmer is a board-certified internal medicine physician who has been serving the Athens, GA, community since 2014. After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, Dr. Farmer completed his medical education at Augusta University Medical College of Georgia, where he developed a deep passion for preventive care and empowering individuals to take control of their health.
Driven by a holistic approach, Dr. Farmer focuses on uncovering the root causes of health challenges and creating personalized strategies for lasting wellness. He regularly counsels patients on the critical role of lifestyle, nutrition, and comprehensive diagnostics in achieving optimal health and preventing chronic disease.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Farmer enjoys spending quality time with his family, preferably outdoors, and is an active member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. A firm believer in leading by example, he starts each day with a 5:30 AM workout, embracing the discipline and vitality that come with an active lifestyle.
